Installation Guide

Software

Please download the GAP software according to your OS. (* necessary)

• Windows 2000/XP:
  • GAPv0.1.008_win_setup.exe  or
  • GAPv0.1.008_win_setup_withJAVA.zip
• Linux (Red Hat 9)
• Solaris
• Mac OS X

Install GAP on Windows 2000/XP

• USE "Administrator" to install the software!
  　
• If you DON'T have "JRE version 1.5.0_04" on your computer:
  • Unzip the "GAPv0.1.0xx_win_setup_withJAVA.zip"
  • Run "GAPv0.1.0xx_win_setup.exe".
  • This will install JRE first. (take several minutes)
  • go to Step 1.

  

• If you have "JRE version 1.5.0_04" on your computer:
  • Run "GAPv0.1.0xx_win_setup.exe".
  • go to Step 1.

Uninstall GAP on Windows 2000/XP

• Start -> Program File -> GAP -> Uninstall
